Story plan for the video
The different representations that will be included in my music video is age and gender.
In my music video I will be including moments of both narrative and performative elements.
The element that will make my music video partly a narrative music video is that the content of the song (the lyrics) will link with the content of the narrative. Another element is that I am going to use actors in the music video.
Some of the elements of the music video that will make it performative will be the use of lip synching.
Brief synopsis:
My music video will have a family sitting in a living room laughing/ pretending to be ok.
The camera will pan around the room introducing the viewer to the characters.
Then the camera will focus on one individual and flash to another part of their lives which shows the effects of drugs. The flashes will be shot in black and white, within these shots the actors will lip-synch to the song. This will be repeated with all the characters in the music video but with different scenarios to represent the different side effects of drug use, protesting the use of drugs through the portrayal of the negative impacts it will cause.
